Von au\u00dfen betrachtet ist Schweden ein Gleichstellungsparadies, auch wenn diese auch dort noch lange nicht erreicht ist. Dass es aber hier wie dort an der Zeit ist, den pessimistischen Blick zu \u00fcberwinden, daf\u00fcr appelliert Nathan Hegedus in seinem Blog \u201aDispatches from Daddyland\u2019:<\/p>\n<p>\u201aPeople get frustrated here that men don\u2019t take more paternity leave. \u00a0Which is good. \u00a0In context of the world, Sweden is a paradise of equal parenting. \u00a0In context of equality, it\u2019s, well, only OK. \u00a0But, still, I have trouble with the impatience, coming from the US and its safety net wasteland.<\/p>\n<p>Which is why I was so happy to see this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dn.se\/debatt\/sverige-blir-jamstallt-redan-under-2020-talet \" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> in Dagens Nyheter last month. \u00a0I quote its most telling stat in another post \u2013 that by the 2020&#8217;s, parental leave days will be split equally between fathers and mothers. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It is time for a reappraisal.\u00a0We social scientists and\u00a0others have\u00a0often\u00a0noted that\u00a0gender equality\u00a0is slow\u00a0&#8211; and that the great differences\u00a0between\u00a0men\u00a0and\u00a0women persist. But it is time to\u00a0abandon this\u00a0pessimistic\u00a0picture that often\u00a0characterizes the\u00a0public debate.\u00a0Developments\u00a0over the past decade\u00a0suggests that\u00a0much of the\u00a0gender equality\u00a0objectives\u00a0will\u00a0be met\u00a0as early as the\u00a02020&#8217;s,\u00a0writes\u00a0Michael\u00a0Nordenmark.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nathanhegedus.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/17\/equality-is-slow-in-sweden-equality-is-fast-in-sweden\/ \" target=\"_blank\">Quelle<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Es ist wie der Blick auf das halbvolle Glas.
