F\u00fcr die 80er Jahre ist das die <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.interscience.wiley.com\/cgi-bin\/fulltext\/119510230\/PDFSTART \" target=\"_blank\">Studie<\/a> von Shelley Coverman \u2018Explaining Husbands\u2019 Participation in Domestic Labor\u2019 aus dem Jahr 1985.<\/p>\n<p>Sie untersucht in der Arbeit 3 Hypothesen zur Beteiligung der V\u00e4ter an der Hausarbeit und der Betreuung der Kinder:<\/p>\n<p>(1) the relative resources hypothesis states that the more resources (e.g., socioeconomic characteristics) a husband has relative to his wife, the less domestic labor he does;<\/p>\n<p>(2) the sex role ideology hypothesis maintains that the more traditional the husband&#8217;s sex role attitudes, the less domestic labor he performs; and<\/p>\n<p>(3) the demand\/response capability hypothesis states that the more domestic task demands on a husband and the greater his capacity to respond to them, the greater his participation in domestic labor.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis suggests that neither attitude change nor education will alter the division of domestic labor.
