Nach der wöchentlichen Kolumne zum Thema Work – Life hat das Wall Street Journal nun vor wenigen TAgen den Juggle Blog eröffnet, als Angebot für diejenigen, die mit den ‘Bällen’ Leben, Arbeit, Kinder und … jonglieren.
Sara Schaefer Muñoz , Redakteurin des Journals und Mutter einer zweijährigen Tochter ist verantwortlich dafür, das die Bälle in der Luft bleiben. Am Donnerstag hat sie sich unter der Überschrift Play the Work-Worry Name Game! mit Wortschöpfungen im Zusammenhang mit der von Catalyst veröffentlichten Studie zum Thema ‘Elterliche Beunruhigung wegen der Zeit nach Schulschluss’ (PCAST) beschäftigt:
But the Juggle feels that PCAST is not the only underreported stressor out there that’s a threat to workplace productivity. We’ve identified a few of our own that should be the topics of future studies:
PCMM – Parental Caffeine Mismanagement: This problem disproportionately affects parents of newborns, with inappropriate caffeine intake resulting in sluggish or jittery/incoherent memos and presentations.
CCDB – Colleague College Discussion Burnout: The inefficiency generated by hearing each detailed step of a colleague’s child’s application process OR the envy/morale issues generated by hearing all the fabulous colleges where said colleague’s child was accepted.
PECH2 – Parental Envy of Colleagues’ Happy Hour: Workplace morale problems generated by rushing parents left out of childless colleagues’ after-work martinis.
JPCC – Juvenile Phone Conversation Concerns: Fear that colleagues will overhear your baby talk on the phone OR the worries/inefficiencies generated when employees fear listening to said talk.
PSDP – Parental School Drop-off Paranoia: The fear that teachers and non-working parents mock you as too rushed and uninvolved in school activities.
PIOP – Parental In-Office Paranoia – The anxiety that your workaholic boss or colleagues think you are a slacker, or worse, mock your unflattering “mom” jeans.
Ich denke, auch diese Liste ist noch unvollständig und lobe für die kreativste Einsendung bis zum 31. Dezember eine Flasche Sekt aus.
